Hallowed Script

Hallowed Script

John Cena: Richard Marshall

Randy Normous: Matt Cottee

Priest: Luke Powell

The scene starts with John Cena tied up on the floor unconscious and then after about five to ten seconds he wakes up struggling to breathe and then he begins to look around the room trying to work out what’s happened.

John Cena: Randy, oi Randy, seriously mate this isn’t funny.    ?

Then in the darkness we hear a door open and close and we hear footsteps walking towards John Cena but we are not able to see the source of the footsteps because the room is darkened then after about eight to sixteen steps, the footsteps stop and John Cena is left there waiting then the light that is revealing John Cena flickers and the suddenly goes off and then the footsteps continue until the door is suddenly opened by Randy Normous.

Randy Normous: John, John, you here.

Randy scans the room with a torch and sees nothing but bloodied chains in the middle of the room where John Cena was previously sitting then at the window to the right of Randy we see a light turn on and see a silhouette of the creature in the window.
Then we hear something crash and fall in the hallway at the end of the room and Randy looks towards the hallway and when he looks back at the window the creature is gone and then Randy looks down at some footprints down on the floor going from the hallway to Randy and then Randy looks round to see John Cena sitting on the bench behind staring blankly at the wall.

Hallowed Target Audience

Hallowed Target Audience

The target audience for Hallowed is supposed to appeal to the teenage and young adults and mainly male audience.

The reason why we wanted to appeal to the young male audience is because horror and gore wouldn’t necessarily appeal to an older or more feminine audience and most current horror films also focus on a younger audience.

We would also would like to attract an older audience by making the film less cliché and like the current brand of horror films like insidious and saw because those the films tend to make the characters quite thick in their actions which gets them into the situations however we want to make the characters act in a sensible and realistic why to make it really seem like there’s nothing that can be done to stop the creature.

Hallowed Stereotypes

Stereotypes

Mise en scene

The creature which is a demented mid-evil priest which has been haunting this hall and he will be wearing some black robes with and hood with a standard braided rope around the waist.

The character John Cena is the first victim we see in the film and he will be wear a bloodied white t-shirt with some old tatty cargo trousers and old running shoes and will be bloodied and bruised, also in the start of the scene he will be tied up with rope around his arms and torso.

The character Randy Normous who is the friend who is looking for John Cena and the character we follow for most of the opening of the film and he’ll be wearing a shirt and a hooded coat with jeans or chinos and vans.

Subverting stereotypes

We are trying to go against the standard cliché and stereotypes of normal horror films and try to make the characters make relatively sensible decisions and not to involve Ouija boards or spiritual references as most horror films do and we want to make it seem like there’s nothing that can be done to stop the demented Priest from abducting the charcters.

Audio

With the audio we need to focus a lot on the surroundings and the sound footsteps make when they’re hitting on the wooden floor and other things including the music or soundtrack that’s going to be put over the film.

Dialogue

There is going to be limited dialogue in the film to increase the tension and to focus on the actions of the characters.

Body Language

The body language of the demented priest is that he’s going to be standing up straight with his arms out to make it look like he’s constantly doing something.
